OECD and China expand cooperation in PISA education programme

The provinces of Beijing, Jiangsu and Guangdong will take part in the 2015 survey, in addition to Shanghai, which successfully implemented the programme in 2009 and 2012.

“This is excellent news that China is increasing its involvement in the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) programme,” said OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría. “It also marks another step in China’s growing collaboration with the OECD.”

China’s participation in PISA2015 will be conducted in full accordance with PISA sampling procedures and standards of international comparability, as is the case for all participants.

More information on the OECD’s PISA programme is available at www.oecd.org/pisa.
