The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) has established a Supervisory Forum (Forum) as it seeks to strengthen the effectiveness of insurance supervision and to foster convergence of supervisory practices. The Forum is designed to serve as a platform for insurance supervisors to exchange experiences of supervisory practices, and comprises high-level senior supervisors with expertise in supervisory practice.

The Forum will focus on large insurers and insurance groups, and aims to enable supervisors to discuss existing and emerging trends and risks, share ideas and experiences between supervisors on supervisory methodologies, and evaluate the potential impact of macro-economic scenarios on large or complex insurers and insurance groups.
