European Banking Authority Issues Consultation Paper on Reporting Standards for Capital Requirements Directive IV

As part of the EU’s Capital Requirements Directive IV and new Capital Requirements Regulation (“CRR”), the European Banking Authority is responsible for drafting technical standards for the implementation of supervisory reporting requirements. The draft standards contained in this consultation paper would impose more harmonised reporting requirements on credit institutions, which would vary according to the size and complexity of activities undertaken. This will begin in the first quarter of 2013, pending the implementation of CRR on 1 January 2013.
