The Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) have published a report entitled Authorities’ access to trade repository data. The report aims to provide guidance to trade repositories (TRs) and authorities as to the principles that should guide authorities’ access to over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives transaction data held by TRs. It describes expected data needs, possible approaches to addressing procedural and legal constraints to data access and guidelines for authority access.
