The Office of The Legal Services Commissioner Discusses Ethical Obligations of Legal Practitioners

Steve Mark, Legal Services Commissioner (NSW), discusses his experience in presenting hypotheticals to the legal profession, law students, academics and members of the general public on a variety of issues relating to ethics and the practice of law. Most notably, the misconception that some legal practitioners hold that the primary ethical obligation of a legal practitioner is to his or her client, when in reality it is to the Court and to the administration of justice.
